SAYING GOODBYE TO THE DIRTY GLOVE AND HELLO TO THE BIG APPLE.

CAPS BECAUSE I AM EXCITED!

I think I’ve found myself a yoga studio in Manhattan

This was actually something that concerned me… I love the Yoga Shelter am not entirely convinced that anywhere else can compare. The style of yoga and teaching practices are important, but in my practice, the feeling of community may supercede those more traditional components.  To be in a space with so many other bodies, breathing, sweating, pushing ourselves physically and mentally, it creates a kinship that I have not found elsewhere; Yoga to the People looks like the perfect place to accomplish this.

The undeniable trend factor has changed the way yoga is practiced in America. Many people use it as a way to forget about the stress of work, school, and other resonsibilites.  But yoga should not be that hour in our day or week where we check out.  Yoga is a time to check in.

I’m looking forward to everything that YTTP has to ofer.
